The Operating Staff Council, in coordination with university administration, has scheduled the 13th annual Operating Staff Appreciation Day (StaffFest) from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Duke Ellington Ballroom of the Holmes Student Center.
Operating Staff employees are encouraged to participate in the luncheon event.
NIU administrators support this activity as an important recognition event for Operating Staff employees and appreciate the consideration of campus departments in making arrangements for Operating Staff who wish to attend.
Accordingly, the university has authorized a 90-minute release period for Operating Staff employees who have requested tickets to attend the event.
The 90-minute period should be considered inclusive of the lunch break; Operating Staff attending the event are required to coordinate this absence with their supervisors.
