“The waiting,” sang Tom Petty, “is the hardest part.”
So why wait?
Future NIU Huskies can take the next steps to enrollment during On-the-Spot Decision Day, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 31.
Chuck Walz, associate director of Recruitment and Operations in Admissions, recommends On-the-Spot Decision Day to prospective students.
“This is a great opportunity for the undecided student to receive an immediate admission decision in a personalized setting with an NIU admissions counselor,” Walz said.
“On-the-Spot Decision Day events are a convenient means for transfer students to meet with a counselor to discuss a smooth and successful transition,” added Andrew Hlubek, Transfer Center coordinator, “as well as lessen the anxiety of waiting for an enrollment decision.”
During this special event, application and academic records will be reviewed by admissions counselors; Huskie hopefuls will receive decisions on their admission while they are still on campus. In the meantime, information sessions and campus tours are available at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Pre-registration is available online for freshmen and for transfer students, and is required in order to reserve an appointment. Check-in will take place in Williston Hall 101, and parking is available in the visitors’ parking lot at 200 Carroll Ave.
