For all the female Huskie fans out there, registration for Northern Illinois University’s Football 101 Women’s Clinic is underway.

NIU head coach Dave Doeren and the defending MAC champion Huskies will provide an inside look into the NIU football program when he hosts the fourth annual Football 101 Women’s Clinic Wednesday, July 18, from 5-8 p.m. at the Jeffrey & Kimberly Yordon Center and Huskie Stadium.

The program is informative, interactive and most importantly, fun. Participants can enjoy drinks and appetizers while interacting with NIU players and coaches before Coach Doeren addresses registrants at 6 p.m. Attendees will then split into small group breakout sessions that include a tour of the weight room, demonstration of exercises and a student-athlete Q&A session.

The evening culminates with on-the-field training demonstrations led by the players themselves.

In addition to gaining a betting understanding of the game of football and the NIU football program, participants will also receive a Football 101 playbook, group photo and a surprise gift.

Registration is $40 and all proceeds directly benefit Northern Illinois student-athletes through the Huskie Athletic Support Fund. Participants must be 21 years of age to attend and are encouraged to wear comfortable, athletic attire.

For more information and to register for Football 101, contact the HASF office at 815-753-1923 or print out and complete the registration form.
