The DeKalb Festival Chorus, directed by Amy Gatschenberger, will present a selection of opera choruses at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in the NIU Music Building’s Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.
Guest soloists Jessica Vadney (soprano) and Christopher Joyner (tenor) will join the performance, which also will feature guest artists William Koehler on piano, the NIU Graduate Brass Quintet and the CSA Children’s Chorus, directed by Mary Lynn Doherty.
Edited by John Rutter, the concert’s 13 selections will include “Habanera” and “March of the Toreadors” from Carmen and “Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves” from Nabucco.
Tickets will be available at the door for $10.
