NIU’s Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management presents a program designed to promote and celebrate an inclusive campus community.
The Diversity and Equity Community of Practice will host the Diversity and Equity Awards, which recognize the programming efforts of individual students and/or organizations. The seventh annual ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Duke Ellington Ballroom of the Holmes Student Center.
The awards honor students and/or student organizations whose projects, activities, programs and events promote inclusiveness on campus.
Awards are open to all NIU students (individuals, student organizations or collaboration between organizations) involved in projects, new or ongoing initiatives or events that address race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion or class.
NIU’s own “Ian Letts Have Sextet” will perform at the awards gala.
