Attention NIU students: If you are participating in the MAP-Works student academic achievement program, you might qualify for a $1,500 scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year.
The MAP-Works Scholarship is a national essay contest for first- and second-year college students who already have participated in at least one MAP-Works survey during the current academic year. Three students will be selected from a pool of other colleges and universities also participating in the MAP-Works program.
To apply, eligible students must complete an application cover page and submit an 800- to 1,600-word essay addressing one of the following questions:
- How did MAP-Works affect your college experience?
- What did you learn from the MAP-Works student report that caused a change in your college behavior?
- Was there a person who reached out to help you who had information from MAP-Works? How did that person affect you?
Applications must be emailed with the subject line “MAP-Works Making Achievement Possible Scholarship” to DFulkerson@webebi.com no later than Friday, April 13.
