NIU’s Outdoor Adventures has titled its Spring Break trips “Epic Adventures,” and for a good reason.
Outdoor Adventures is headlining its Spring Break experiences with a sea kayaking and beach camping expedition along the shores of Cumberland Island in southeastern Georgia. This coastal concoction serves up white sand beaches, ruins, wild horses and a diverse array of flora and fauna.
Next up, for those with a taste for backpacking and a philanthropic heart of gold, the program is offering a combination of backpacking coupled with volunteer trail maintenance along the Florida National Scenic Trail. This trek through Florida’s back country offers a synergistic blend of beautiful scenery and physical challenge.
Last but not least, Outdoor Adventures showcases a bouldering trip to Horse Pens 40 Park in Alabama. This trip offers the unique opportunity to learn a very specific form of rock-climbing in a nationally acclaimed area.
NIU’s Outdoor Adventures is located in the Student Recreation Center. Registration is available online.
