NIU will host its annual International Women’s Day Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, in the Chandelier Room of Adams Hall.
This year’s IWD theme is “Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures.”
Guest speaker Kurt Thurmaier, professor and director of NIU’s Division of Public Administration, will honor that theme in his talk “Kidogo, Kidogo: Patiently Investing in Girls’ Education.”
Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for $15 per person. Seating is limited, and reservations are required by Monday, Feb. 27.
Those interested in attending the discussion only are invited to arrive around 12:15 p.m.
