DeKalb County will begin in-person and at-home (absentee) voting Thursday, Feb. 9, DeKalb County Clerk John J. Acardo has announced.
When voting early, each voter must produce a valid federal, state or other government-issued identification.
At -Home (Absentee Voting)
Voters interested in voting from home or absentee must submit their application to vote or contact the office at (815) 895-7147 on or before Thursday, March 15.
After completing the application, the ballot will be mailed directly to whatever address is specified. The ballots, after voting, must be postmarked no later than midnight Monday, March 19, and must be received no later than 14 days after the March 20 election.
Voting (through Election Day)
Voters interested in voting in person can do so between Thursday, Feb. 9, and Monday, March 19, at the following locations:

Regular voter registration ends Tuesday, Feb. 21; however, each Early Voting Center is equipped for grace period voting through Tuesday, March 13.
Those who must register through the grace period are required to bring two forms of identification that confirm local mailing address and place of residence (for example, utility bills, valid state ID, mortgage or lease agreement, etc.).
