Cascade Mountain ski, snowboard trip planned

Cascade Mountain in Wisconsin has received 15 inches of snow in the last couple of weeks, and its 34 runs and four terrain parks are open.

Travelers will ski and ride for three days, leaving NIU at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, and returning at 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12.

Included in the registration fee are transportation in an NIU van, three-day lift ticket, ski or snowboard instruction by experienced NIU trip leaders, two nights of lodging at Herons Landing on Lake Delton and all meals (including family-style breakfast, dinner and boxed lunch at the slopes).

Equipment rental is not included; travelers can choose to bring their own or rent from the resort.

The cost for members who register by Wednesday, Feb. 8, is $300. Non-members pay $350 if they register by that date.

A pre-trip meeting will take place at 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the Adventure Center inside the Student Recreation Center.
