Administrators of NIU Health Services are reminding students of two important deadlines this month.
The Illinois College Student Immunization Act and NIU policy requires all students born on or after Jan. 1, 1957, who are enrolled in a class at the DeKalb campus to submit proof of state-required immunizations.
Students must provide written evidence of current immune status with respect to certain communicable diseases, or evidence of exemption from this requirement, by the 10th day of the first term enrolled.
The deadline this spring is Monday, Jan. 30.
The Health Services Preventive Medicine Clinic (lower level, Health Services) is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. weekdays.
Additional information about the immunization requirement is available online. For more information, call (815) 753-1311.
Student Health Insurance Deadline for Waiving and Purchasing
The Student Insurance plan can be purchased at the Room 201 of Health Services, open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
For more information, call (815) 753-0122 or email [email protected].
