Huskies fall to Western Michigan, 77-68

Tim Toler led Northern Illinois with 15 points, but the Huskies (1-13, 0-2 MAC) fell, 77-68, to the Western Michigan Broncos (7-9, 1-1)  at University Arena in Kalamazoo, Mich. Wednesday night.

Abdel Nader added 14 points for the Huskies, and Antone Christian chipped in seven points in the loss.

Kevin Gray and Tony Nixon grabbed four rebounds each, as NIU finished with a 33-27 advantage in rebounding and used a strong presence on the offensive glass to stay within striking distance of the Broncos.

The Huskies return home at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, to face MAC West foe Central Michigan.
