The DeKalb Festival Chorus will present Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem in D Minor, Opus 48, during its Sunday, Nov. 20, concert.
Guest artists William Crosbie, and soloists Orna Arania (soprano) and Julian Rojas (baritone) will join in the performance.
In addition to the Requiem, the chorus will sing pieces by Mendelssohn, Haydn and Rutter; Crosbie and Arania will perform works by Sowerby and Mozart.
Jennifer Whiting, chorus director, will give a pre-concert lecture at 2:30 p.m. for those interested in knowing more about the Fauré piece. The concert will begin at 3 p.m.
The performance will take place at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John, 26555 Brickville Road in Sycamore. Tickets will be available at the door for $10.
