NIU’s Grant Towers residence hall complex will host its annual signature program “Project R.E.D. – Residents Engaging in Diversity,” from Monday, Nov. 7, through Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Project R.E.D. promotes a more diverse and aware campus through fun and engaging activities.
Events are focused around acceptance and appreciation of the vast range of diversity on campus and raises awareness of diversity’s impact on the NIU community.
All students are invited to attend these events, have some fun and broaden their horizons.
The first event will be the “Fair of Nations,” scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in the Grant A/B formal.
During this event, residents will be able to take part in food, fun and folk from all across the world. Come try a new dish and enjoy the unique crafts and games that will expose you to the culture here at NIU.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, check out the performance “Diversity Monologues” in the Grant A/B formal. Come hear students share their unique stories on many facets of diversity they identify with personally. These stories are sure to help you gain a different perspective on life at NIU and around the world.
“Casino Night,” the final event, will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the Stevenson Food Court. Play traditional casino games such as blackjack, roulette and poker with a diversity twist. Prizes including a Wii, a Blu-Ray player and more will be raffled off.
