‘VetConnect’ invites veterans, military students

VetConnect, a personal and professional development half-day conference open to all veteran and military students, will take place in the Holmes Student Center from 1 to 4:309 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

The free conference will include a keynote address at 1:30 p.m. by Barbara Johnson, chair of the Department of Counseling, Adult and Higher Education in the College of Education.  Also included is a variety of breakout sessions geared to help veteran and military students succeed in their courses as well as a resource fair of helpful campus and community services.

Participants will learn and improve upon skills to be successful at NIU and in life, prepare for job and internship searches and connect with other student veterans.

Sessions are held in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium and the Regency Room.
