William Tolhurst
A memorial service will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 12, for William Tolhurst.
The service will take place in the Sky Room of the Holmes Student Center. Light refreshment will be served immediately following the program.
Tolhurst—a veteran professor in the NIU Department of Philosophy who was well known for his sharp intellect, joyful personality and service to the university—died Thursday, Sept. 15, in DeKalb. He was 64.
Tolhurst had retired just last year after 33 years of service to NIU, including eight years as chair of the Department of Philosophy.
