The event will take place in Rare Books & Special Collections (Room 402 of Founders Memorial Library) and will feature wines and cheeses from Hy-Vee in Sycamore.

No RSVP is required.

Founded in 1983 as an association of library supporters interested in contributing to the development of the resources of the University Libraries, the Friends of the NIU Libraries has more than 400 members.

The group secures gifts and bequests and provides funds for the purchase of books, manuscripts and other materials, such as electronic resources that could not otherwise be acquired by the library, through member contributions, the Library Endowment Fund, the Ensuring the Future Tree, the Library Book Fund and sponsorship of memorial and endowment programs.

Meanwhile, the group sponsors a series of programs each year on a wide range of topics, often related to books, libraries and publishing, but also of general interest.
