The DeKalb Festival Chorus invites new singers to join.
An inspiring season is ahead, including a collaborative Peace Concert, Fauré’s “Requiem” in the fall and Great Opera Choruses in the spring. Rehearsals begin at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at NIU.
Director Jen Whiting briefly interviews and listens to each new singer for correct placement in the chorus. Auditions are from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 25, and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the NIU Music Building. Singers may prepare one brief selection from any art, folk or hymn literature. An accompanist will be present.
