It’s not too late for current members of the Operating Staff to make reservations to attend STAFFEST 2011, which will be held 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Duke Ellington Ballroom of the Holmes Student Center.

STAFFEST is an annual luncheon to thank Operating Staff for all of their work and an opportunity for members of the Operating Staff to help support worthy causes within the community. Lunch at the event is served by members of the NIU administration, Huskie coaches and other friends of the university.
This year the Operating Staff Council is supporting the American Red Cross by using this event to compile Comfort Care kits for distributions to people displaced from their homes by fires, natural disasters and other events.
Each participant is asked to bring all of the components that make up a kit, one each of the following:
- · Twin Blade Razors
- · Shaving Gel
- · Small fluoride toothpaste
- · Small liquid soap
- · Small hand/body lotion
- · Small shampoo & conditioner
- · Stick deodorant
- · 5 oz. facial tissue
- · 7″ unbreakable combs
- · Square terry washcloths
Monetary donations, in the form of checks payable to the American Red Cross, will also be accepted.
