NIU’s Shapiro Memorial Law Library post hours for reading period, final exams, summer months

A photo of a student looking for books at the David C. Shapiro Memorial Law LibraryThe David C. Shapiro Memorial Law Library has announced its schedule covering April 30 through May 30, which includes reading period and final exams, and from the Memorial Day holiday through the summer.

Extended hours for Saturday, April 30, through Tuesday, May 17, are from 7:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sundays.

The library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 18.

Hours from Thursday, May 19, through the end of the month are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. The library is closed Saturdays. The exception is Memorial Day Weekend, when the library is open from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 28, which is Graduation Day, and closed Sunday, May 29, and Monday, May 30.

Summer hours from Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, Aug. 12, are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. The library is closed Saturdays.

In observance of the Fourth of July, the library is closed from Saturday, July 2, through Monday, July 4.

With the return of regular semester hours Monday, Aug. 15, the library will open from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, and from 1 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14.
