NIU Evans Scholars to host Golf Spring Fling

Logos of NIU Huskies golf and Evans ScholarsThe NIU Evans Scholars will host the annual Golf Spring Fling with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the Kishwaukee Country Club, 1902 Sycamore Road in DeKalb.

All skill levels are welcome to celebrate a great year at the new home of The Huskie Classic, NIU women’s golf long-standing fall intercollegiate competition.

Come play along with NIU golfers, coaching staff, alumnae and friends. The unique scramble format will allow participants to meet and play with team members and to greet new women’s assistant coach Jessica Struthers and the co-hosts, the NIU Evans Scholars, who will serve as forecaddies.

The fee is $160 per person for full golf and dinner, $115 for golf only and $45 for dinner only.

Full entry includes 18 holes of golf with the NIU golfers and coaching staff, all cart fees, a welcoming gift, use of practice facilities, beverage tickets, a box lunch choice of roast beef, ham or turkey, chips and beverage and a dinner choice of chicken breast or brined-and-grilled Iowa pork chop and sides, dessert, coffee and tea.
