White-water Rafting
Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9
Visitors to Athelstane, Wis., five hours from DeKalb, can experience the snow run-off on the Peshtigo river with over two hours of rafting.
Rafters can experience level III- and IV-class rapids in a fun and safe atmosphere. This is a thrilling trip in pristine scenery. No experience is necessary.
A pre-trip meeting will take place at 9 p.m. today in the Outing Centre. Registration deadline is Thursday, April 7. Cost is $140.
Camp and Climb
Saturday, April 16, and Sunday, April 17
Have you ever wanted to try rock-climbing? The hard quartzite cliffs make Devil’s Lake State Park in Wisconsin the best climbing area in the region.
After a full day of climbing, the trip leaders will assist you in setting up camp, cooking your dinner, making a fire and sharing in laughs and s’mores before a night under the stars.
A pre-trip meeting will take place at 9 p.m. Monday, April 11, in the Outing Centre. Early registration is available for $75 through Friday, April 8; the regular registration deadline is Wednesday, April 13, for a cost of $85.
