Northern Illinois Regional Science Fair seeks volunteer judges for March 12 event at NIU

A photo of chemistry beakersVolunteer judges are needed Saturday, March 12, when NIU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences External Programming hosts the 2011 Region V IJAS Science Fair.

Judges start their day at 8:15 a.m. The judging of projects will take several hours, and each volunteer judge is eligible to receive a free boxed lunch.

The science fair is an educational opportunity for students to share their research with each other and the community. The science fair is also an excellent teaching tool to meet Illinois Learning Standards.
