Thomas Armstrong, a visionary and award-winning author and speaker with more than 35 years of teaching experience from the primary through the doctoral level, will present a program on “The Best Schools” at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at NIU-Rockford.
Armstrong is the author of 14 books on issues related to learning and human development.
Educators, business community members and parents are encouraged to attend the free event.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Seating is limited to 250 and is available on a first-come, first-seated basis. NIU-Rockford is located at 8500 E. State St.
He also will speak from noon to 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, at a workshop for educators and education students at Spectrum School, 2909 N. Main St. in Rockford.
Attendance for “The Best Schools – How Human Development Research Should Inform Educational Practice” is limited to 50 participants. The cost is $20. Registration is available online.
