The NIU School of Music will welcome guest clarinetist Eli Eban, professor of clarinet at Indiana University, for a special recital at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29.
Eban’s performance comes in conjunction with Clarinet Cornucopia, a day of workshops and concerts. The theme this year is “German Romantic.”
He will be accompanied by NIU School of Music piano professor William Goldenberg and joined by clarinet professor Gregory Barrett. They will perform works by Nielsen, Brahms, Mendelssohn and Winding.
The recital, presented in the Recital Hall, is free and open to the public. The Music Building is accessible to all.
