NIU’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center has re-launched its online peer support program, Q-Connect.
The Q-Connect program is for students who have questions about sexual and/ or gender identity. All online interactions with trained mentors are anonymous, and users are able to ask questions related to LGBT topics.
Q-Connect mentors are students who have applied to be mentors and been selected based on their experience, leadership and potential to be good sources of support to other students. They have completed nearly 20 hours of training to help them develop their helping skills.
A schedule of times is available online.
