Female students can hear advice for traveling

November 5, 2010

Have you dreamed of hiking the Alps, floating in the Dead Sea or seeing the Pyramids?

Don’t put your dreams of traveling abroad on hold because of fears of the unknown or financial concerns. Participants will leave this discussion with the knowledge necessary for a successful, enjoyable and budget-friendly trip that allows them to travel on their own terms.

Novice travelers and experienced globe-trotters are all welcome from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, as speakers at the Women’s Resource Center discuss how to combine studies and a passion for exploration and adventure, the pros and cons of traveling solo for women and tips and advice on how to become a savvy globe trekker.

The event is co-sponsored by the Study Abroad Office. Call (815) 753-0320 for more information.
