BELIEF – Building Ethical Leaders using an Integrated Ethics Framework – is a training program used by the College of Business to teach students that ethical components exist in all decision-making. Since its debut in fall 2006, the program has been praised by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and other academic bodies for its approach to implementing ethics into the business curriculum, calling it a model program.
The annual BELIEF Day is a way of recognizing and reinforcing the College of Business’ commitment to sustaining ethical practices on a consistent basis.
Kuhse, who spent time in both foreign jail and U.S. federal prisons, now travels the country captivating audiences as he shares the story of his descent from a successful stockbroker to a fugitive hiding in the jungles of Costa Rica. He stresses the importance of moral and ethical behavior while using examples of events that occurred in his life as well as stories which are relevant today.
