Speech-language pathology students run ON TRACK summer camp

June 22, 2017

The Northern Illinois University Speech-Language Pathology Program is excited to offer Speech and Language Camps for children ages 3 to 8. These four-week camps are supervised by a licensed speech-language pathologist and are conducted by a team of graduate students enrolled in the NIU Speech-Language Pathology Program.

The ON TRACK camps are designed for children with mild to moderate articulation, phonological, and language delays or deficits. The camps will provide enrichment and maintenance of speech and language skills. Each week will incorporate a theme to target various skills including building vocabulary, grammatical concepts and phonological processes. Additionally, each session will provide campers with both group and individual activities.

This is a great way for your child to stay ON TRACK with their speech and language skills and to start the new school year with success.

The camp for 3-5-year-olds meets from 8-10 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, July 10-Aug. 2. The fee is $240. Camp for 6-8-year-olds meets from 10:15-11:45 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, July 10-Aug. 2. The fee is $180. Both camps are held at the NIU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, 3100 Sycamore Road, DeKalb.

Contact Emily Palmer, 815-753-6524 or epalmer3@niu.edu for registration and/or questions about the camp.
