Students’ art, research and community projects to be showcased

NIU’s Office of Student Engagement and Experiential Learning will host the eighth annual Undergraduate Research and Artistry Day (URAD) and Community Engagement Showcase from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in the Holmes Student Center.

Undergraduate students who have participated in mentored research, creative inquiry and artistry as well as community engagement projects will be showcasing their work at the event. In addition to the traditional poster, exhibit and digital media display options, students will also be presenting their work through informal table talk sessions in the Art Gallery Lounge.

Posters and exhibits will be scored by judges and have an opportunity to win a monetary award if the project places in first, second or third within their category.

This year, OSEEL will be highlighting the Child Development Lab and the great engaged and experiential learning that is happening inside their facility. “ Research projects” from the children who attend the lab will also be featured.

The entire NIU campus and community is invited to attend. Visit the URAD and CES Online Guide to view a list of all URAD & CES presentations, schedule, room layout map, online program (pdf), event evaluation and more.
