Concert of music by student and faculty composers, April 3

The NIU School of Music is pleased to announce a concert of music by NIU student & faculty composers on Monday, April 3, at 8 p.m. in the Music Building Recital Hall. The public is cordially invited, and admission is free.

This diverse program will feature music by undergraduate student composers Sam Doran, Will Kirby, Parker Meadows and Matthew Tucci; by graduate student composers Daniel Mattix, Tyler Jameson Pimm and Andrew Schneider; and by faculty composers Ted Hatmaker and Brian Penkrot. More than a dozen student performers will present a variety of music from solo to chamber to works with electronics.  Six compositions on the program will be receiving their first public performance.
