With the student deadline for taking the Title IX online training approaching, Affirmative Action and Equity Compliance (AAEC) is asking all faculty and staff to help ensure students meet the deadline.
The final day for students to take the training is Friday, March 10. To access the training, students can go to niu.edu/aaec/training/title-ix. The training can be completed on a mobile phone, tablet or computer.
“The training was interesting and useful. I am glad the university decided to do this,” said Paige, a student who completed the training. “This is a topic that should not be taken lightly, and everyone should have an understanding of it.”
Another student, Robin, said she previously believed Title IX covered only sexual harassment and was surprised to learn from the training all of the other types of discrimination covered by the law.
Employees will complete the training between March 13 and May 31. The employee window will not be opened until March 13.
