A memorial service will be held for Thomas Sims, a veteran professor and director of graduate studies in the Department of Biological Sciences, at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, at Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the Music Building.
Sims, 64, succumbed Nov. 20 to cancer, a disease he battled for more than two years while continuing to mentor NIU students. A full story on Sims’ long career at NIU appeared earlier in NIU Today.
