NIU remembers Harley McCammond

Harley McCammond, 74, of Monroe Center, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL, surrounded by his loving family after a 12 month battle with cancer. Harley retired from Sundstrand/United Technology after working in accounting for 31 years. After retirement, he worked at NIU for 12 years in travel accounting. He served in the Illinois Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970.

The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, at Kishwaukee Presbyterian Church, 8195 Kishwaukee Road, Stillman Valley with Pastor Eric Tonjes officiating. Burial will follow the service at Monroe Center Cemetery with military rites provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard.
