Staff training opportunities in December

Human Resource Services Training Programs still has a few more workshops scheduled for employees before the end of the semester. Employees who are seeking to enhance their skills in coping with and navigating change may want to consider attending “Normalizing Change in the Workplace” which will be facilitated by Brian Smith, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) director, on Friday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m.

Lesley Gilbert, assistant director for Training Programs, and Brian Smith will discuss how to supervise and lead teams while working with multiple generations of employees in “Working Across Generations” on Monday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. 

Employees can learn some of the reasons why communication can break down amongst employees or tips to improve communication skills during, “Effective Communication” on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m., which will also be led by Lesley Gilbert and Brian Smith. 

Finally, in case you missed the first training in November, there will be another opportunity for employees who have direct responsibility for handling and depositing cash and overseeing cash operations to attend “Managing and Handling Cash” on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 1:30 p.m., led by Christine Monteiro and Sandra Fasnacht of the Internal Audit Department and Acting Director Nyoka Polyak from Treasury Operations.
