This year’s Homecoming celebration will take Huskies on a trip down memory lane with the theme, “Huskies through the Decades.”
Festivities kickoff Sunday, Oct. 16, with Paint the Town and Powderpuff Football and, following a week of fun-filled activities, culminate with the NIU football game against Buffalo and the seventh annual Rep Yo’ Step show.
There are a variety of events that community members, students, faculty and staff can participate in this year. Here are the important registration deadlines you need to be aware of:
- Powder Puff Football – 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23
- Homecoming Royalty – 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30
- Paint the Town, Recycled Boat Race and “Dec” Out the Campus – 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7
- Northern Lights Homecoming Parade – 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13
- Huskies Pull Together: Pop Tab Collection -4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20
