NIU President Doug Baker invites the university community to participate in the next town hall meeting, scheduled from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in the Regency Room of the Holmes Student Center.

The university’s Program Prioritization initiative will be the primary topic of discussion during the town hall, which also will include an update on the state budget situation.

Executive Vice President and Provost Lisa Freeman will join President Baker in a review of the current status of the Program Prioritization process and discuss next steps. Vice President for Administration and Finance Al Phillips will lead the discussion on the state budget and its impact on NIU.

The town hall meeting will be live-streamed via Adobe Connect and can also be viewed through NIU Today and digital Channel 20.1 on the campus cable television system.

In keeping with the importance of this event, the university has authorized release time for employee attendance at this event, including hourly Operating Staff, subject to operational requirements. Supervisors have been asked to facilitate participation for those planning to attend.

Video from the April town hall will be posted on the president’s town hall website shortly after the conclusion of April 27 event.
