The event will take place in Rare Books & Special Collections (Room 403 of Founders Memorial Library). No RSVP is required.

Founded in 1983 as an association of library supporters interested in contributing to the development of the resources of the University Libraries, the Friends of the NIU Libraries has more than 400 members.

The group secures gifts and bequests and provides funds for the purchase of books, manuscripts and other materials, such as electronic resources that could not otherwise be acquired by the library, through member contributions, the Library Endowment Fund, the Ensuring the Future Tree, the Library Book Fund and sponsorship of memorial and endowment programs.

Friends also sponsors a series of programs each year on a wide range of topics, often related to books, libraries and publishing.
