Shyree M. Sanan
Northern Illinois University has named Shyree Sanan as its interim controller, effective May 1. Sanan will report directly to Alan Phillips, vice president for Administration and Finance.
Sanan joined NIU in 2001 and has 14 years of progressively increased levels of responsibility as accountant, business manager, assistant to the vice president for Research and Innovation Partnerships, treasurer of Northern Illinois Research Foundation and a member of the Budget Core Team.
In 2013, she received the Outstanding Service Award in recognition of her work and for making significant contributions to the university and her community.
Sanan, a certified public accountant, has a Bachelor of Science in accountancy and a Master of Business Administration, both from NIU.
A search to fill the permanent position will be completed.
