May 12, 2015

United Way Day of CaringThe Kishwaukee United Way’s Annual Day of Caring is Thursday, June 18.

Day of Caring is an organized day of service during which volunteers visit, assist and complete projects at a variety of our community’s non-profit agencies.

Each agency submits requests for volunteer help on a broad variety of projects ranging from reading to children, delivering meals to the elderly, repairing and painting houses, planting gardens and refurbishing agency offices.

Project locations vary throughout the day. With numerous projects requiring a good number of volunteers, many organizations and people are needed.

The event begins at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, June 18, at the DeKalb Park District’s Hopkins Park, 1403 Sycamore Road.

For more information, or to register to volunteer, contact Dawn Littlefield or Jackie DiNatale at (815) 756-7522 or dawn@kishwaukeeunitedway.com.
