Art historian to discuss mapping in 19th century London

Map of 19th century LondonArt historian Pamela M. Fletcher, chair of the Department of Art and co-director of the Digital and Computational Studies Initiative at Bowdoin College, will speak Monday, March 2, at NIU.

Fletcher will discuss “Mapping the Commercial Gallery System in Nineteenth-Century London; or, The Promise and Perils of Digital Art History” at 5 p.m. in Room 100 of the Visual Arts Building.

Her presentation is part of the 2014-2015 Elizabeth Allen Visiting Scholars in Art History Series.

The Elizabeth Allen Visiting Scholars in Art History Series is hosted by the Art History Division and funded in part by the NIU School of Art and Design Visiting Artists and Scholars Program.
