NIU employees: fill out the program prioritization survey

February 16, 2015

54c9d6aa11aec.preview[1]NIU faculty and staff are reminded to take the NIU program prioritizing criteria survey that is available online at http://go.niu.edu/criteriasurvey. Responding to the survey is an important step in obtaining information from faculty and staff so that criteria that reflect NIU’s culture can be established.

Following the principles of shared governance, the results of this survey will be shared with the Academic Planning Council and the Resource Space and Budget Committee for examination and determination of the prioritization criteria. The survey deadline has been extended to the close of business on February 23rd. For more information about the program prioritization process, please visit http://www.niu.edu/program-prioritization/.

The university has authorized release time for employees to participate in this survey.  Release time should allow employees the ability to access a computer to take the survey and then return to their normal work function.  Supervisors are strongly encouraged to accommodate employees’ time and technology needs to participate in this exercise.  If a dedicated computer for survey completion is not available in work areas, employees may access the nearest open computer lab to complete the survey.  Locations of campus computer labs are below.

  • HSC 6th Floor (call 753-1616 to reserve a time)
  • HSC 7th Floor (call 753-9191 to reserve a time)
  • Human Resource Services (HR Building – Lincoln Highway)
  • Swen Parson Room 110 (HR offices)
  • Founders Library
  • HSC College Grind

Employees who do not routinely use computers or who may have forgotten their sign-in credentials can contact the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) Helpdesk at 815-753-8100.

Employees who have not received or cannot locate the email sent last week containing a link to the criteria survey can submit a request to universitycouncil@niu.edu, and a new email will be sent.
