Rikkilee Moser, a second-year law student at the NIU Law College of Law, received the Public Interest Advocate Scholarship Award presented by the Diversity Scholarship Foundation (DSF) at their annual Unity Awards Dinner in December 2014. The scholarship is awarded annually to a law student who is interested in pursuing a career in public service or who is actively involved with a not-for-profit agency that represents the needy and the underprivileged.

Rikkilee is an active law student involved in a number of organizations. She is the current president of the Public Interest Law Society, outreach chair of the Christian Legal Society, and a staff member of Law Review. Rikkilee, whose goal is to “have a career in human rights in order to serve people in need and fight for what is right and fair,” has also served as an intern or volunteer for World Relief, AmeriCorps, and the Center for Faith and Human Rights.
