Law library sets hours for December, January

NIU’s David C. Shapiro Memorial Law LibraryNIU’s David C. Shapiro Memorial Law Library has announced its hours for reading period and final exams, beginning Monday, Dec. 1, and ending Sunday, Jan. 11.

The library will open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Monday, Dec. 1, through Friday, Dec. 5, as well as from Monday, Dec. 8, through Friday, Dec. 12, and from Monday, Dec. 15, through Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Hours for Saturday, Dec. 6, are 8:30 a.m. to midnight. Hours for Sunday, Dec. 7, as well as Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 14, are 10 a.m. to midnight.

The library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18; and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19; Monday, Dec. 22; and Tuesday, Dec. 23. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21.

The library is closed Saturday, Dec. 20; Sunday, Dec. 21, and from Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 4.

January hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, through Friday, Jan 9, and from noon to 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11. The library is closed Saturday, Jan. 10.

Regular semester hours resume Monday, Jan. 12.

  • From 6 p.m. to close each day, the library is only open to students, faculty and staff of the College of Law. All other patrons will be asked to leave.
