The campus community and general public are invited to a reception celebrating Northern Illinois University’s student artists from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, followed by an evening of poetry as the NIU Art Museum presents a poetry reading and recitation night in Altgeld 315 from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m.

Each academic year, NIU undergraduate artwork is selected to be on display in the NIU President’s Office in historic Altgeld Hall. The public reception is meant to showcase these works and celebrate the artists.

NIU student curators, Jessica Knirsch and Cory Stout, who created the exhibit, will be in attendance to speak about their vision on making the selections and preparing the works for display.
