NIU’s Aug. 28 season opener kicks off Labor Day Weekend
Single game tickets for Northern Illinois University’s five 2014 home football games go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, July 14.
NIU, which owns the longest home stadium winning streak in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) at 26 games, opens the 2014 football season at Huskie Stadium at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, versus Presbyterian.
Tickets to any of the Huskies’ five home games can be purchased 24 hours a day, seven days a week online, by calling (815) 753-PACK (7225) during regular business hours, or in person at the NIU Athletics Ticket Office in the NIU Convocation Center. The ticket office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CT) Monday through Friday.
Reserved single game tickets on the West Side of Huskie Stadium are priced at $40 (sections C, D, E), $36 (sections A, B, F, G) and $25 (upper rows of sections A, G) per game for the general public. Senior citizens (62 and older) pay $34 (sections C, D, E) and $30 (sections A, B, F, G) with the $25 tickets priced the same.
NIU also offers several group pricing options for groups of at least 25 people. Contact the NIU Athletics Ticket Office (815-753-PACK) to receive the special pricing.
After playing three road contests and enjoying an open date in September, the Huskies return home to face Kent State on Saturday, Oct. 4 and then play host to Central Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. in its 107th Homecoming game.
NIU closes out its October homestand Saturday, Oct. 18, versus Miami (Ohio). The Huskies final home contest of 2014 takes place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, when Mid-American Conference rival Toledo. NIU has not lost a home game at Huskie Stadium since Sept. 26, 2009.
Season tickets offer the best value for the best seats at Huskie Stadium at a cost of just $110 for all five 2014 home games. Season ticket holders receive a gift and invitations to exclusive season ticket holder events in addition to the same seat for every game. Members of the NIU Alumni Association, senior citizens and NIU faculty and staff receive a $15 discount on every season ticket.
