Former Northern Illinois University student Patty Glines, Director of Talent Acquisition for CUNA Mutual Group, was the first-place winner of a global dissertation competition by the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).

Glines, whose dissertation was submitted as part of her Ph.D. work, competed against an international field of Ph.D. candidates. Her winning dissertation is titled “Building Organizational Capability: A study of Knowledge Management, Practices, Reasons and Results.”

The International Society for Performance Improvement’s 2014 Distinguished Dissertation Award honors research excellence and the usefulness of the study in furthering the field of human performance.
