NIU’s Presidential Commission on the Status of Minorities (PCSM) invites students, faculty and staff to attend its free Diversity and Inclusion Summit and to nominate outstanding students, faculty or staff members at NIU for the McKinley “Deacon” Davis Diversity Award.
This award recognizes significant contributions made to the improvement of the status of minorities on NIU’s campus.
The PCSM will give four awards this year, one specifically designated for a student. Award recipients will be honored at the Diversity and Inclusion Summit and nominations are due on Wednesday, March 26. Nomination forms are available online.
Formerly known as the Friendship Abloom Luncheon, the Diversity and Inclusion Summit will take place from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Capitol Room of the Holmes Student Center and feature remarks by NIU President Doug Baker.
