Brown bag lunch series to focus on environment

Faculty, inquisitive as to what collaborations might exist for future grant applications and research on campus? Campus staff, curious as to what research is being conducted at your employer?

NIU’s Institute for the Study of the Environment, Sustainability and Energy invites the campus community to its spring semester “Brown Bag Lunch Speaker Series.”

Three faculty associates will proudly highlight their current research, educating attendees about their interdisciplinary research. Two topics on the schedule include a Friday, Feb. 7, talk on “Environmental Accountability at the State Level: Local Air Quality and Public Opinion” and the Friday, Feb. 28, talk on “Cross-border Water Use & Conservation.”

Institute organizers hope the Brown Bag Lunch Speaker Series will foster collaboration between faculty members and provide students with the opportunity to get involved. All talks take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Davis Hall 116. third talk is scheduled Friday, March 28.
