As the Jan. 29 NIU General Education and Integrative Learning Symposium approaches, one group on campus is urging students to speak up.
NIU’s Student Advisory Council on Learning Outcomes, which will meet at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, in Adams B13, will encourage all who attend to circle the symposium date on their calendars.
“Having student voices in the general education curriculum is critical,” said Stephen R. Wallace, associate director of the Office of Assessment Services.
SACLO provides students a chance to make their thoughts heard in every level of the assessment process and to deepen the conversation about assessment practices at NIU.
